Grade 12 Students Take International French Certification Exam

May 12, 2026

Recently, more than 75 Grade 12 students from five secondary schools completed the internationally recognized Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF) exam.

Offered at multiple levels, from foundational to advanced proficiency, the DELF is a lifetime certification recognized in over 170 countries. It assesses students’ abilities in listening, reading, writing, and speaking in French.

Taking the DELF provides students with the opportunity to pursue a globally recognized credential that supports post-secondary pathways, career opportunities, and international mobility.

This milestone reflects the strength of language learning across the Abbotsford School District and the commitment of students to developing skills that extend beyond graduation.

Results will be released in June. Congratulations to all who participated.

Participating schools this year include Robert Bateman Secondary, Yale Secondary, W.J. Mouat Secondary, Abbotsford Senior Secondary, and Rick Hansen Secondary.
