Book Characters Come Alive Again at School’s Pumpkin Patch
November 4, 2026
Literacy and creativity came together at École Centennial Park Elementary for the school’s annual Book Character Pumpkin Patch.
Students transformed paper and real pumpkins into favourite characters, with creations inspired by Stitch, the Minions, Frankenstein and more filling the Library Learning Commons.
Students at Sandy Hill Elementary also got creative with their own book character pumpkins, bringing another colourful celebration of reading to their school.
The colourful display brought books to life and added a little extra fun to pumpkin season.
