Thank you Ken and Cathy!

For several decades, Ken and Cathy from Stó:lō Catering, have been providing delicious catered meals to the school district and community.  Everyone loves their food, incredible service and their friendly smiles at events. Ken and Cathy are wonderful role models in our community and Elders that teach us through their actions.  In December they graciously retired and we wanted to take this opportunity to recognize them for their service to the people and for their positive contributions.  But more than just a business in the community, what makes Ken and Cathy really special people, is all they have done for their local community of Sumas First Nation and Abbotsford itself.  Through their business and as employers, they provided work for hundreds of people over the years.  Teaching their staff valuable lessons and skills that helping them take the next steps in their own personal journey.  Ken and Cathy made extra food to ensure they never ran short at events they catered.  They generously donated extra foods to families in the community that needed it.  Ken and Cathy are kind, generous and extremely hard working people.  We thank them for their contributions and wish them a very happy and healthy retirement.  Stó:lō Catering is now operating under the new ownership of younger family members so that delicious salmon is still available!
